Zach's definition of his recent diagnosis (we think) of lactose intolerance: "Diagnosed with bad farts."
Zach's word for Lactaid: "Fart pill." Example: Mommy, don't forget to give me my fart pill.

a little girl's imagination
I just had to post this while it was so fresh in my mind, and I can still see in my mind's eye her sweet little face and eyes full of wonder...
Jordan watched the movie The Last Unicorn today with a friend who was over, and then later this evening was talking about it with Nathan and Zach. Nathan, who is also very imaginative, came up with this pretend idea that this one wall in our house was a magical passageway to get to the unicorn world. Well, that just got things going, she was SO into it. Then, he was still pretending with her, and said that the attic door in her closet led to the prince's room where the last unicorn was, that it even had a golden doorknob. I looked down at her while he was telling her that and by her face and posture I could tell that with every fiber of her being she wanted to believe what he was saying. She decided to go along with it, and there were moments where the line between fantasy and reality was blurred. She begged and pleaded with me to open the attic door tomorrow so she could see, so we talked about imagination, and that what she and Nathan were doing was using their imaginations, but it wasn't real. Then, after saying her prayers, she sighed softly and said, "Mommy, I wish you could live in your mind."
