Megan's baby

OK, most of you will probably have seen a picture of Cole by now, but I thought I'd post one just in case. Isn't he gorgeous?!!

it's a boy!!

I'm just so excited, I had to make a post...this isn't an official birth announcement, just a proud aunt gushing about her newest nephew. Megan and Brian's baby arrived safely into the world this evening, and mom and baby are doing very well. I'll share just one of the pics because it really brought tears to my eyes (it's just a teaser, though, you can't really see the baby, I'll wait until I have Megan and Brian's permission for those shots), remembering those emotions each time I met each of my kids for the first time, face to face.

about our family vacation...

Well, I successfully posted the pictures with Photobucket, so you can see all 20 pictures from our trip to the mountains of western NC (Friday-Monday). Trip highlights included Sliding Rock (Nathan, myself, and our friend, Michael, all took the plunge, but Jon and Mychael were in line when they had to send everyone home due to severe weather), a visit to Asheville's skate park, tubing on Deep Creek, eating, watching Nacho Libre, and spending time with our friends. It was too short, but Jon had to leave for California early this morning for the whole week, so we had to get back. I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!
