(Riding in the car on the way back to the hospital after Thanksgiving dinner):
Zach: Oh, no! My little Spider-man!
Mommy: What happened? Where is it?
Zach: It's in my crack*!!
Mommy, Mychael and Nathan: (Burst of laughter.)
Zach: Not my butt crack!!

*crack- any space between 2 objects such as bed and wall, car seat and side of car, etc.

remember my post last Thanksgiving?

I think I titled it, "pass the albuteral, please." Yes, once again we spent Thanksgiving in the hospital, last year it was in the ER with Mychael wheezing...this year it was Jordan wheezing. I ended up taking her to the ER around 3:45 am Thursday after no great improvement with home nebulizer treatments. Her O2 sats weren't too hot and she was doing a lot of belly breathing, so they got us back pretty quickly. Jon was home praying that we would get the best possible care, and we ended up having a friend as our nurse, who also happens to be the best ER nurse (I used to work with her back in my nursing days). After treatments, oral steroids, and an IV, they decided she needed inpatient care, so we got to our room about 9:00 am. Jon came with the boys and we swapped so I could go home and sleep, which I did, of course. The boys were so good and stayed in the basement and played quietly for over 2 hours. We went to the Thanksgiving dinner with Jon's family while he stayed with Honey, and then we brought him his plate of food. What a great daddy! I spent the night here with Jordan in the bed with her, and she had a good night. Her sats improved during the night, so it looks like we'll probably get to go home this morning. No Black Friday shopping for Shannon this year! I had considered partaking in the madness, I can be a sucker for a deal, but it's probably better to take my time deciding what to buy everyone (no, I haven't started shopping, yet), rather than buy stuff just for the deal (although the free mp-3 player at Old Navy sounded good!). Well, I hope everyone had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving, love to all.

I love how...

...Jordan sings "Twinkle, twinkle little star" while eating her Campbell's chicken and stars soup.

...Mychael smells, even when it's been 2 days since a bath.

...Nathan still says "skabetti" for "spaghetti."

...Zach is so tenderhearted he has trouble watching "Animal Cops" on Animal Planet.

...Jon laughs.

Halloween

Our sweet friends, the Simpsons, had a Halloween party, with tons of food and a tractor hay ride. We had a blast trick-or-treating, and ended the evening packing 20 tired children and adults into one pickup truck, it was quite a sight to behold! One that we'll never forget...

Jordan went as a princess, Mychael was a zombie, Zach was Spiderman, and Nathan put on a suit and said he was the President! (A couple of people thought he was Peter Parker from Spiderman 3, with the hairdo and all.)
